Training sessions for EU Competitions <\/span><\/h1>\n<\/div>

For colleagues who aren't yet Officials (Temporary Agents, Contract Agents, intramuros personnel, trainees, Seconded National Expert) or for the Officials who wish to change function group (or grade), the Staff Regulations indicates that the main way to succeed is via a competition (external, general or specialized, or internal). There are also sideways to reach that goal (i.e. Young Professional Programme, Certification) but these are very limited.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A competition starts with preselection tests (including an EU knowledge one) designed to eliminate a large number of candidates. Consequently, only the best knowledgeable and skilled will be allowed to pass the next steps. Indeed, there is a pass mark for most of the tests, so one needs to achieve the best possible results for each step. Depending on the competition there are besides different rules for ranking candidates. In addition, both practice and technical knowledge are important for a successful result.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

After the competition (selection stage), and once the competition reserve list is established, follows the recruitment stage which implies interviews by the recruiting services of the Directorate Generals (recruitment stage). For this recruitment stage we also offer a service to help you practice<\/span>. This is especially important as since 2023 a new model of competition (EPSOLUTION) is implemented that does not include interviews.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Like most Unions Union Syndicale F\u00e9d\u00e9rale Luxembourg<\/span> (USF-L) regularly offers training, providing a series of dedicated training sessions covering the various test types. USF-L is a Member of Union Syndicale F\u00e9d\u00e9rale (USF), a Federation present in more than 20 Institutions and Agencies. USF has therefore a vast experience in organising such trainings. It usually co-organizes them, online or in person, with ORSEU, one of the leading organisations in that field. Our Federation expertise ensures that these trainings are always up to date and aligned to the requirements of the latest competition model, test types, set of questions from recent competitions and adapted to the specific needs of the candidates.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We inform all our affiliates of our training offer timely and in principle we cover the cost.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
